![]() ![]() Second: the Daphne version appears to have scan lines while the A1Up does not - also the A1Up image is much more vibrant and crisp - looks stunning when comparing them side by side. I am not sure if the A1Up is 4:3 or 5:4 but those are close enough for me that the A1Up feels more like the original as I remember it. And to top it off, there are black bars on the sides so it is even worse, The Arcade 1Up is horizontal and fills the screen quite nicely. Search to 22738 received - Underground River, Sequence 2I received my Arcade 1Up Dragon's Lair cabinet yesterday and after putting it together I wanted to compare it with my Retro Pi version that uses the Daphne emulator.įirst: The Daphne version is rendered vertical (?) and the aspect ratio has been squeezed so everything looks tall and skinny. I then changed the mands file to below based on the thread referenced above but with no real change as, again, it just seems to run through the death animations. I've now had a better look at the documentation surrounding Daphne and Dragon's Lair and have also found this thread: ' ' I'm sure that it is revision F2 of the roms. Setting up Daphne is a bit more complicated than I thought. I've transferred all relevant files onto the Pi into the correct folders and created the mands file. I've installed Daphne on my PC and using the Dragon's Lair DVD-Video 20th Anniversary edition DVD have set it up to work on PC. I've tested on 2 separate Pi3's - one about 6 months ago and one tonight, with the same outcome. I've followed all of the instructions to the letter (so far as I can tell). How to replicate the problem: Start the game and it simply runs through the death animations.
